Got the disease pretty bad. Could not live without my old 1940 Caterpillar Model 12 Grader. Serial 6M-17. Yes, it is the 17th gasoline powered grader off of the production line. One of only 56 built with a G4600 gas engine. It followed me back home again. Originally belonged to the town of Mylan. NY. Dandy Dave!

Hi, Dandy Dave.
Yep, they are a rather rare bird. There is another one out here on the Santa Margarita ranch currently belonging to a well known West Coast collector.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Yeah. The same one. I managed to piece a radiator together from several sources and a little Yankee ingenuity. Dandy Dave!

I've heard there was one out there. Seems I chatted on line with someone that had one on the west coast 10 or 12 years ago, but that one no longer had it's serial plates I was told. Mine has two, one near the front of the grader frame and one on the engine.

What a beauty Dave, especially with its patina. Please let us all know when you take it to local shows (such as Canandaigua : ) I would love to hear that 6-cyl running
