Paul,
Yes her story, and that of her brothers and sisters, is perfect for your(our) publication. I vote that Glen, Deas and others pull the story together for us sometime in the future! It would be "cool" in more ways than one!
Jan
Hey Jan,
I second that, Deas, get to work. Hahahaha
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Glen.
Yes, Boss. Already on it, Boss. Check your e-mail, Boss.
I note that JanM. has voted that 'WE' do the work. So what is his contribution gonna be - the cheer squad?
A REALLY kew-ree-yuss mind would like to know.
Just my 0.02.

Deas,
Hey remember when it became my turn to operate Mary Ann, her starter crapped out and she would not start. Therefore, I don't have any of the story........ BUT I have a LOT of INTEREST!!!!!!!!
I have been enjoying the videos you posted of the Seabees in Antarctica. I like the short shot in the first film of the 'Bees in dress blues climbing ropes in Davisville RI. Glad we never had to do that!!!! Also, I guess the heat in RVN was better than the COLD they had down under!!!!!!! BRRRRRR!
Now start writing as the Boss man says. I can't help much because I threw away my copies of the "Weekly Reader" that we got in school which had stories all about the International Geophysical Year and the Antarctica ventures that I read in the 7th grade. I remember seeing those D8s in the pictures way back then.
Jan M- Go Team! Go Team! Go Team!

Jan,
I heard about the fact that on that Sunday afternoon that Mary Ann had a starter problem and you did not get to dirver her. Also, I feel greatly blessed and fortunate that earlier that day Glen honored me by letting me driver her. To me is was a dream come true. I have been extremely interested in those D8's ever since I first learned of them back when I was a kid.
So, Jan, I am very sad the you missed the chance to drive her BUT, hopefully, next year (OK Glen?).
And, Paul, I also thank you for the store suggestion. I will help in any way I can but actually I only know that I LIKED them.
Hey Jan,
You studied about Mary Ann way back in the 7th grade??? I don't think they even had Diesel's invented
Way Back Then... Hahaha 😛eep:
Roflmao... Besides nothing wrong with her starter... You just needed to warm up to her. It takes a while to start a woman's engine...
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Hi, Glen.
No need to duck for cover behind your little wall. He ain't that good a shot. Remember when he was grading with the dozer 'during the earthquake' down at Santa Margarita? LOL.
And I wouldn't tell him how to get Mary Ann 'turned on' until he gets that info outa the Seabees Museum. Remember how quick he was to vote us in for the job? Well, let him pull his weight too. LOL.
