After getting my pony on the 46-30 working pretty good I figured it was time to to work on the D6 pony.
Wow what a difference even though they are almost the same.
First is remove the hood...yes its heavy and awkward.
Then remove the electric pony starter all together.
Then the air filter assembly.
Next is the gas tank.
Last but not least is the carb, which I removed in 2 pieces.
What a job to get to the carb.
In reading other folks troubles on pony carbs I felt thet they were spending much more time than me in removing the carb.
With the genset you can remove the carb in about 5 minutes.
With the D6 ...about 2 and a half hours to get the carb in hand...yikes.
You can be sure I will be testing the D6 carb out by installing it on the genset first.
Really only want to do that job once.
And while I have the electric pony starter off its going to have a bit of a freshen up as well.
I have found that I am not fond of pulling a start rope while standing up let alone leaning in over a set of tracks.
Thanks for the help so far, could not have done much without you.
Regards Chris
