Hi Timberbeast

You ask about the Caterpillar Tractor Company's publication, the "DOTTED LINE", these are a marvellous hard covered book, published for use by "CAT" salesmen of the day - heaps of detail and info. I would image that there must still be a few of them about. I personally have three different copies of this now days very collectable publication.

Hello everybody, I am searching for a copy of "The Dotted Line" brought out sometime in 1930 which has the picture of a leopard spread across the bonnet of a CAT and an accompanying store. Can anybody help me in locating it/sharing a digital copy? It's related to a personal memory. Thanks, Ujjal

They came out as individual magazines as well as hardbound books that had 12 of the individual magazines in it. I believe there were only 5 different hardbound books.

Hey Chad, Bill Zwieg let me borrow some old service books for my 4G. They were full of real life trouble shooting stuff from the 40's-50's. They were caterpillar published and really cool. I wish I had copied them before I sent them back to him. Do you know whatever happened to that stuff? Just curious

Bruce, I am not sure. I will get with his son and see what happened to all of his old stuff.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
