A good looking tractor, even if it has seen better days. More old "junk" ought to be rescued from the scrap pile. Looks like fun to operate, too! GWH
Looks nice! I like those bottom roller guards. Before trying to start with the pony engine, you should make sure that the starter pinion mechanism is working properly, if the mechanism doesn't throw out the pinion it will pick up such a high speed that the axle will break. I am in the process of restoring a 2U, that had the axle broken, luckily I had a donor.
Good luck
Marcel
gwh,
I haven't got to run it much, but I'm having fun so far. I sure like the sound of that big ol' D13000.
Marcel,
The pinion disengages at a little bit higher RPMs than I'd like. I'll have to adjust the latches one of these days. Those roller guards are pretty common around here with all the rocks that we have.
Here's a couple more pictures that I took of it today. I should get it hauled home this week. Then I have a bunch more parts to put back on it, and some work to do on the transmission.

( I changed my mind. I like full size pics better than thumbnails.)
