In the link you see starting the fibromax:
http://youtu.be/ak8LJaFJPkg
It was in my granddads barn for about 30 years.
We didn't know to start, but found the can with start fuses it was a little easier (you see i burn my hands on it:loco😊
It is a deutz MAH 14 with 11 HP. This is a engine with a open cooling system so you put water in it.
That's boiling the water is turning to steem and the engine cooling.
when you use it you have to put water in it every 15 or 20 minutes.
it compacts the ground 60 till 120(!) cm with a range from 1.m2
And you do 600 till 800 M2 per hour.
1770 KG 2300 kg in transport.
2 Liter diesel pro hour
1962 it was build, the first one was build back in 1937(!)
build by Losenhausenwerk Dusseldorf Germany.
for the transport they put it behind a little truck.
My granddad buyd it new for big road work.
In the first it was 2 times under the sand... why? because the dutch ground is so soft and wet
It was to strong so it was going down, they pull it out with a dregline.
so as jan said don't come to close to the dikes 😛
after a few your they park it in the barn till 2012 we had to clean all the barns and we found it.
With The d2 5u dozer and e few waterpumps. We sent about 200 ton iron to china.

Pulled the coupling to activate the compactor and my mom was coming out wtf are you doing my kitchen is walking away!
Starting it on the street wsn't the best idee :noidea:

It is hard working to get it turned! for reversing it you have to turn the weel so fast you can.
Did they use this in the usa back than?
I don't think these machines were shipped out of europe.
Thanks Niels
