Is there anybody reproducing the old Sylphon gauges? Wilford the D2 had a later-style temp gauge installed, & I had to twist the bulb off to get it out when I took the fuel tank off. I bought a cheapo "Cat" gauge on ebay for now, but eventually I'd like to have an original style to match the others...the oil pressure & fuel pressure are both original Sylphons, & they both still work.
Thanks

I have been rebuilding old oil pressure gauges but I'm sure that they are not the sylphon gauges. Can you send me a picture of one; Bill Walter E-mail; [email protected] 816 891 8654

Bill, here's a pic of the fuel pressure gauge. What I need is a water temp gauge of that style.

Thanks Pete, good to know something is in the works. My ebay cheapo will work for now to get going, if I ever get to the total restoration point, maybe it will be available.

That sound great Pete. I'll be curious about the price. I'm planning on having a "before" and an "after" gauge at the show among a good supply of rebuilt injectors and tested pumps.

I'll check to see if a water gauge is available when I go to pick up a couple of oil gauges later this week. A fellow chapter member gave me a Sylphon gauge but it was locked up tight. Perhaps I should try soaking it more yet. Bill walter

Yes, they do look nice, still, if Garlic Pete can get the oil gauges right and out the door for a fair price then a new temp gauge will be a walk in the park for the young fella!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
