we have a d7 that when you want to turn right the tractor does not
move,but it will sometimes shudder.
i have tried to ajust the steering clutch but to no avail
any help as to what to do next apart from stripping the clutch
out would be much appreciated

That would be your left clutch acting up if it acts up trying to turn right.

Make sure your steering clutches levers are returning all the way. If they don't the steering booster will affect operation, usually to the opposite side.

Make sure your steering clutches levers are returning all the way. If they don't the steering booster will affect operation, usually to the opposite side.
It sounds like the bearing are bad in the left final drive which make it jump when the gear slips.
