On my CAT 22 I just used a HD mechanical puller with a 3/4" impact wrench. I tighten it down then whack it with a 6 pound sledge. Tighten again and repeat until it pops off. Be sure to leave the Jesus nut loosened on the sprocket shaft until it pops free or you could get a lap full of sprocket. Ray

sorry guys, I live in NSW Australia, I worked for caterpillar for a number of years over here and have gone out on my own and want to expand my business to incorporate doing these final drive jobs. I will be willing to ship it here as anything i can find here is way over the top in price and not for the 100 ton rams.

I'm looking for a kit to do up to d7 at least but if the gear for 8 and 9 is there too I'll grab it. I want the 100 ton ram. , the 150 ton ram and if possible but not major the 70ton ram

Go up on the Tool Bar above and finish filling out the registration form!
That way when you post everyone will know you are from Australia. This will benefit you as your friends "down under" will be quicker to chime in on your post as their are a few of them that seem to know where every tractor and tool is hidden.
As far as the tooling you desire, I'm sure a few collectors know someone that has a set as it is an expensive investment for a collector, more of a person in the business of repair.
Stay patient, update your post every couple of months with what you are looking for.
A set will someday become available similar to the Track Press that was sold out of Minnesota and I believe went to Australia??
Good Luck!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
