Just thought this may interest some Folks , the Spring on the D2/4 transfer pumps and maybe others [6B3437] is not available from Cat and any other source in Australia and I have found Bunnings Hardware have a very Close equivalent . C-756 made by Century Spring Corp in Los Angeles . It's same length and Diameter but a Couple less Coils , But to My "gentle"touch it feels about same Tension . Works for Me . LJ

Thanks for the recommendation. Now I wish I had bought a few back when. I have looked at Century online before, there are a lot of springs there. Stainless would be nice.

Don't think the pressure is that critical. I thought the rubber on the little poppet was hard. Bought a new one at Cat ( $45.00) . didn't change a thing. Stretched the spring a little. Still no change. Pump is like new inside. .001 gear clearance.

all clearances are within new specs. Guage hardly moves when cranking. Green when running

Hi Team,
this scan from literature of test done at our Dealers way back when.
May or may not help explain the needle positions.
Cheers,

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
