Does anyone have photos, diagrams, building plans for a small (D2/D4 ) size sulky? I have seen one for sale but it is much too large for my use. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, GrantJ.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
Grant: Did you see the one on FBMarketplace? It looked a bit big for a D4, but it looked functional. Brett A. might have purchased it already, it was over in Georgetown I think. Doug and Matt Veerkamp have a gorgeous Hyster hooked up to an equally nice D2 logger at their museum that you could get ideas from. JM
I did see the one of FB market place, but it looked much too big for me. After seeing the photos you shared (I assume that is a D4) maybe it was not too big. Where is the Veerkamp Museum? Is that the huge building with the runway and tons of old equipment near Placerville? I think I may have been there long ago. I will probably build one, but I see an awful lot of welding on your photos and Deas Plants. Thank you both. Grant.
Hi, GrantJ.
If my (aging) memory serves me rightly, Veerkamp's home base is off Gold Hill Road out of Placerville - cain't see it from the road - gotta cuppla yard art Cats at the front gate of a driveway that winds its way back into the hills a bit - pretty interesting place and the home of some of the best restorations you could see anywhere.
Just my 0.02.

Those D4 Sulkys certainly look big. I was not looking for something that seems even bigger than the Cat. I may call an old friend that has a lot of heavy iron laying around and see what I can do. Almost any type of arch could be made to work, and I might use an electric winch since I dont have a Hyster for my D2. I have lots of dead beatle pines to move to a safe spot to burn and the D2 is easier to maneuver in my over grown forest. This will be a long term project. Thanks.
Thank you Gary. Grant, you may be thinking of Ed Akin, who was a relation to Doug and Matt.
It would really be neat to build a logging arch with a set of Athey tracks. One of my customers near you should have some that you may be able to purchase!
This one just offered in Oregon!
