You should send this to the CAT Gas Platform Engineering at Lafayette, Indiana! I'm sure they would be interested in the history of this!
Hey Cory,
Glad to see you're staying busy & out of trouble...👍 Still have the 720?
Ha ha yeah although it is pretty neat this is a run of the mill operation in our industry so I dont really think cat would be interested in seeing this. The customer rents these compressors from us at $50k a month each and we're contracted to run non stop around the clock so they rack up some serious hours in a short period of time, the old engine was only nine years old. For the engine swing we were only down 72 hours which is pretty good.
Hey ronm yessir I'd never get rid of that thing although at the moment my thirty is absorbing all of my time how's things in your part of the world?
Doin' good-like I said in the other thread, too many projects, not enough time, but that's nothing new...did you make it over to the Monticello pull this year? I just had too much else going on to get there...
Is it in Colorado or Texas?
Ronm- no sir I wasn't able to make it this year things have just been to busy at work or I wind up being on call. I wasn't able to make it last year either but I was working in that area this winter and seen they have a real nice building on Main Street built for the big 4 it's got big windows you can see in as you drive by.
Drujinin- these are actually located in far northern New Mexico about a mile from the Colorado state line and are accessed through a town called Arboles Colorado.
Yep, we came through on the way back from Sedona last fall & saw the Big 4 building-nice to see it taken care of...
Info and one Photo has gone to Gas Platform Engineering, Lafayette, IN!
They appreciated the Info and Photo!
50K a month each...now you have my attention!
Can I ask what they use that much compressed air for??
I remember the largest air compressor I was ever around was at the Airline I worked for. It was a 50hp screw type that powered a large media blaster.
Those compressors must produce enormous amounts of air.
