Interesting conversion as the LA was a strong well built tractor. If memory serves me correct, there was a Detroit powered version available but had never seen a Cat conversion.

D4 Jim the detroit powered LA case tractors were changed to diesel by John Deere. They were working on diesel power tractors

and bought LA s (I forgot how many) and converted them with detroit 371 engines.

thats quit interesting a guy by me built wheel tractors out of old cletracs in the late fortys and early fifftes ,it was before my time but there were a couple of carcasses left not far from me about fifteen years ago all whent to the scrapper

This is one of the only two that the dealer ever converted here in SK, based on the information we have. I’ll be doing a full length video later this summer, stay tuned to my YouTube channel.
