I figured this would be tough, for once I was wrong!

I Needed to replace the shift boot on my 1949 D2. After some decent guessing I bought a CV-Joint boot from Auto-Zone.

Dorman Replacement
P/N 614-001
3-5/8" Diameter

Around $15
It fits perfect, was on the shelf and looks great, all I had to do was "smash" it down, it sort of popped in to place and "locks" on to the casting of the shifter block.

Hope this helps anyone who's looking for a replacement.👍

I like the $15, compared to the $50 from Cat

@ Chriscokid, I'll try to get some up soon, things got busy fast so i forgot to take a pic. @Soapy, So do I, plus I figure it will handle the "abuse" of shifting since its for a CV shaft. 😆 I can say that it would take a true expert to notice its not OEM haha

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
