What is the recommended thickness or gauge of the sheet metal if you're fabricating your own fold over locks? I'm guessing it's going to be different gauges for different applications, but my immediate need is for 2A-2468, which secures the bolts on the pinion sleeve of a 4R D6.

Thanks!

A quick guess would be 18ga (.043") I'm working with some this week on some transmission and final drive assembly. I'll have to measure one or two and see.

side-seat is correct, 18ga is what those sleeve locks are made from.
