there are 2 yellow service manuals, 1 for engines and 1 for chassis. i think theres a engine one on ebay listed at 9.99. i got a couple for sale too. which one you need. in my opinion you'll need 4 books total. operation, parts, engine and chassis. good luck.

Rather than messing around on FleaBay, I went to the Cat dealer and got a reprint through their Classic Literature. You'll probably want the manual for the D315 engine. .sorry, can't remember the form number you'll need but it covers just about all versions of that engine. Cost was around $55 as I recall several years ago.

Thanks a lot guys. I am checking with Quinn for an engine manual. If it's too expensive I'll contact you agmike.

Thanks Again

I was out in my shop yesterday and remembered to look at the D315 SRM and write the numbers down. From Cat, it's Form 30522-2. .a reprint of the original.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
