Caterpillar makes a steel replacement for the glass bowl. Give your dealer the part number for the glass bowl and they will give you the steel one. If you want a glass one a trip to the junk yard might be needed.
Thanks

if its the small bowl you can use a 3/4 socket and plastic bottle cap till you get a glass one

On my D69U I've been using pill bottles that my medicine comes in every month, just cut to length. They will last about a year before the gas gets to them, but it seemed like I could break the glass ones faster that that. Plus these are free.

Try restoration supply @ www.restorationstuff.com. They are in your state.

Or try Sacrememto Vintage Ford. The glass bowl for the old flatheads looks like the same one they put on the 22. Make sure you buy a new gasket. I learned that the hard way.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
