Could you guys give me an idea what a D4 with a bucket would bring for scrap? I was thinking of having a scrapper over to the farm and am curious as to the value.

Depending on what you have for attachements, you could be looking at 6 or 7 tons. I saw somebody post the other day that scrap was around $260 a ton prepped, so there you go. You could sell the blade to a collector for $750 - $1400, a winch could sell for about the same. Hydraulic pumps/lines/controls get several hundred. Motors, undercarriage, track frames/rollers all are saleable items. You could make more by parting it out. Most of us here would probably show interest in it.

Personally, I am needing the hoist arm for a 4A blade. Want to sell me yours (if you have one and it's in good shape)?

Is it a bulldozer with blade or a trackloader with a bucket? D4 7U Traxcavator weighs closer to 10 tons with a counterweight or winch.

Do you have a carb on the starting engine? Looking for one for my D42T-settle for the bowl assembly if it is in good shape-shoot me an email.

Thanks

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
