I found in our barn about a dozen shanks with the tooth attached for my #12 grader, but no where could I find the Wedge's used to hold them in.

Does anyone have a 1D3537 Wedge that they can get the dimensions off of and post here, I'm thinking we may be able to make these rather then buy them.

I think I found an after market source from a company called Romac that lists them as a 5K1458 but they claim each one needs a 5K1459 Grommet to go with them which looks like nothing more than a cut piece of clear fuel line. I'm assuming that this grommet keeps the wedge from becoming perminate installation.

You want the 1D3537 wedges.
Regal lists them for $11.72 ea.
or try Acme Rigging & Supply Co. in Sacremento or Ukiah

Thanks Old Magnet, I found two of them in a box with some railroad spikes, Looks like the spikes were used as wedges at one time.
I sent a email off to Regal and gave Acme a call Monday.
I did call Florin in Sac, but they had none in stock at this time.

If you need more sources plug the number in to a Machinery Trader parts search, seems to be plenty of them out there. If all else fails I think I can come up with the dimensions but hardly seems worthwhile fabricating.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
