We just got off a con call discussing Santa Margarita Best of the West 2020. Rob Rossi the Ranch owner is fine with proceeding as if we CAN HAVE A SHOW over Memorial Day Weekend. We all believe that the decision to postpone/cancel the show if made will be made for us by Local, State or Federal officials. Right or wrong if they decide to go this way we will not have a choice.

What I would ask of Gee, D4E, Garlic Pete and all of the others who planned so hard to help ramp Tulare back up this year, please keep an open mind for Santa Margarita over Memorial Day Weekend to come and kick up lots of dirt at the Ranch. The Military guys have pled with me not to cancel the show as have lots of others. People believe that when we come out the other side of the COVID-19 scare/panic/whatever you call it, people are going to be charged up to get out and do things, like attend the Best of the West.

We Pioneer Day guys are as disappointed as all of the rest of you that Tulare has been cancelled. Steve Hansen and I had worked it out with Tony Ramos to bring a couple of the big Holts and the Rumely E to Tulare to try to help jump start more people bringing older stuff back to Tulare. We are committed to helping get Tulare back on stable footing.

Stay safe everyone and I sure do hope we can get together as a group at the Ranch May 22-24, 2020.

Thanks for the update Tom.

If travel restrictions out of Australia and into USA are lifted in time for BOTW, I'll still be there.
It's still a way off yet and there's every chance this whole business will just blow away by then.

Standing by and good luck with it all.

Cheers
Phil

Let's all hope they find the vaccine against this Covid-19 sooner so the event won't be postponed. Keep safe all!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
