I am the proud new owner of a Super Special Grader. It is completely frozen and about 80 to 90 percent complete. This winter I will be restoring it and I would like to know what colors to paint it. I know that the older model Russells were a red and green color but I have never seen a color picture of a of a Super Special. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Do some digging and scraping under the turn table and under the front swivel above the axle you know where it never saw the light of day and may had some gease preserve the paint. I did this on my No. 2 hiway patrol and found the color to be red. Good luck. Jason

I found some red paint in under all the grease on the worm gears on the lift wheels. I am starting to think about painting it red and putting whatever color accents on it I want😊 because I cant find any proof of what a Super Special looks like. Ive got faith that someone will set me straight before its time to paint.

Hi j-henry7,
using the Search function I found the following from previous enquiries on this subject.
Hope it helps--there are other discussions there also.
