Nice. Did you buy those from John S? or did you make your own adapters, etc? I by pure luck found a set of surplus ones on FB of all places from a JD guy that did not want them; of course that was a couple years after I already bought a nice set from John. Per his comments, it should take approximately 4.5 hrs to bolt them on. He was pretty darn close!
Those sure make parading around nicer. I have driven my D2 down the road before in 5th gear and received a few stares...I have also used the tractor to disc with and pull scraper with with no issue, other than a little slippery on wet grass (even the big rubber tracked units do that)
they also had steel road shoes as a genuine accessory for machines drawing trailers etc on the road network.
Yep, I bought them from John. They fit nice and went up the paved driveway without leaving a mark. It did take about 4 hours. Also a few pictures of the factory shoes. Nice looking 22 and parade ready!!
rubber has a advantage too it wont skate on steel or slippery surfaces the same as the steel shoes.
I've been looking for rubber track pads for my D2-5U, does anyone know a source?
how do you think these pads would compare to the ones on my d2?( check tractor picture in my avatar) would they work with some modification?
