Hi all,

Last year, after many years of negotiation, i bought a Holt model 45.
I found this tractor in France, at 600 kms in my house.

Here are the pictures of his rescue:

When I discovered the tractor

To get him out he needed a small truck.

After we transferred it for go home.

I do not have crane so we transferred again, in dump truck. (the tractor has the transmission of blocked)

Now, in my home the tractor did not want to go down.

Nice tractor
Very nice! I’m impressed that tractor survived two world wars. Good on you for saving it. Going to be a project for sure.

Congratulations

Bonjour Maxime, ca va ?

That is a really nice looking tractor.
I'm sure that you will enjoy restoring it.
Given, as Bruce says, it has survived two world wars, it must have many stories to tell.

Good luck with the restoration.

Best regards, John

Congratulations Maxime!
I flew twice from Sweden to Geneva and then by car 3h to see the Holt and talk to the owner. We had an agreement but I had great difficulty to get it from the spot and the former owner was not willing to help me in any way, so the deal was never done. From what I could see the frame is broken. I first came in contact with it over 10 years ago. Believe there is one more Holt 45 in very good restored condition in France and one more in Holland.

[size=100]Hi all,
For my Holt, I am looking for the model of the original carburetor and magneto as well as a clutch. (and Possibly an intake manifold, because mine has been transformed)
Do you know where can i find some?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Maxime.  The carberetor would be a Schebler 1 1/2” .   The magneto was a K.W. Model TK or HK, with the HK going on an earlier tractor. There is a auction coming up in October that would have the mag, intake and carberetor.  It’s the air in Baker estate and Auman auction is handling it. Remember that most all the basic parts on a 45 tractor engine are the same as a 45 harvester engine.  As far as I can tell only the front cylinder jug and the crankshaft along with the flywheel and front pulley are different.  Holt made their own clutch as far as I know.

Best of luck with your project.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
