Reggie the Dachshund - March 10th 2002 - March 4th 2012

Some people on this bulletin board may remember the many posts about my Dachshund Dog Reggie and how he would ride beside me on my D2. There was even a picture-story in the ACMOC magazine about Reggie. Reggie passed away last evening while I was holding him. I had been nursing him along for the past couple of weeks. He was prone to seizures for the last 2 years and his condition gradually worsened. Reggie was one week short of 10 years old. I'll now have an empty seat on my bulldozer now. Not to worry... we have a young Dachshund named Rodger (named after Rodger Gerhart of Gerhart Equipment) that I will train to take Reggie's place. Here is a picture of Reggie sitting in his special seat on my D2 in 2011.

Bill,
So sorry to hear that you lost Reggie. My parents lost their Dachshund TJ a little over a year ago (he was 13), they now have a Dachshund pup that they named Waldo.

Bill, my sincerest condolences for your loss of Reggie, we are dog people and its always heart breaking to lose one. One of My three dogs is 11 and the 2 beagles are 13 so they are in the autumn of their lives.
I've always enjoyed seeing Reggie riding, please continue showing pictures of the new rider
