I will be going to pick up my d8 later this week. Should I use a T-02 or T-04 oil in this 1956 machines steering clutch? I keep Mobil 424(T-02 rated) on hand for our john Deere tractor power shift trannies and using it would simplify oil storage but I want to do what is best for the machine. If I should use a T-04 equivalent what weight should I use?

Would delvac 1300 15w40 oil be OK in the engine? Again I have it on hand for the JD tractors.

Thanks, Ross/Nebraska

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
