Very detailed video. 2 things I would add. When inserting the pistons, I always put a rubber sleeve over the rod bolts to protect nicking the crank. ALSO when reinstalling the poney, I put wood blocks, a tad taller than the studs, on top of the mounting surface. Then I unhook lifting device and lower the engine down using pry bars. Saves bumped studs and scuffed gaskets. Didn't see the hard part that is installing safety wires on the rod nuts.

Thanks a lot. We're in the middle of rebuilding the pony for our 1941 D6 and now I feel compelled to repaint::tsk:

Did you use high-heat paint or regular paint? It sure looks pretty.

Thank you for the videos. That much more motivation to get ours going.

Unless I missed it, but how did you set the clearance for the crank and main bearings?

Anyone know who Lineshaft Restorations is? I gather its not chriscokid.

Time to take credit for some really nice work and videos to show it.

Just going strictly off memory "chriscokid" owns a Construction business down South that a few years ago got broken into and a couple of Trucks were stolen? I remember chatting with him at the National Show here, seems like a pretty down to earth fellow?

Lineshaft? I seem to think he is from someplace West of me?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
