I have a rear mount Cat Hyd.Group complete with linkages it came off D47U.I read in the parts book said it would fit on D2,4,6.I will check the parts book for sure.Otherwise there was a company called Live Power had rear hyd.
The d6-c already has hydrualics. You might have to stack another valve.
Is your machine a direct drive or power shift? Does it have a front dozer on it or is a bare machine? If it is a P.S. and has a dozer it may be possible to add a valve to the existing hydraulic arrangement. If it is a direct drive with no dozer then there are some other options. ๐
My dozer is a power shift machine w/tilt (6S dozer) I would need three circuits to the rear to run a scraper. Does Cat have additional valves that could be added to my machine to achive what I need??
Thanks
The D6C uses the #163 Hydraulic Control. Maximum is two valves in the tank (dozer & tilt) plus provision for one external valve (usually for ripper).
What you mite consider is going for a rear mounted self contaiined pump, valves and reservior. These can be configured for either 2 or 3 values. White Brothers out Walla Walla Washington used to build a nice looking unit for the direct drive machines. Mite be worth giving them a call (1-800-525-6620). If they cannot supply you something that works they can probably suggest alternatives. Good Luck. ๐
Thanks for the information on this issue, it looks like a rear mounted pump and valves is the way to go, may kind of spendy but what isn't. Would anyone have an idea as to what I would need as far as volume and pressure if I were to manufacture one of these on my own ? I would be using it to operate a converted #60 scraper.
Thanks

I'd come at it the other way....find out what size cylinders you need, rate of travel and how many operating at the same time....then pick volume and pressure. The cat stuff was all low pressure (1000 psi) and high volume, the #163 is 54 gpm. No reason you couldn't run higher pressure...2,500 psi or so and reduce the size of some of the components.
Hey Old ,
I am interested in the rear hydraulic for D7 that is area I have serached,.
I would appreciate any information again for d717A
