Hi I just got a RD7 serial number 9G4546W at a auction and I am looking for a shop manual. I found a parts book but haven't had any luck with a shop manual. I was hoping some one here might have a lead.

Thanks Jason

Jason, There never was a shop manual, there is however a Diesel engine manual that gives specs etc for all the early diesels. Also get yourself a operating manual. They are a pretty simple to work on, the parts book is your best friend. I overhauled mine with just a parts book and the Diesel manual. I did everything to mine, steering clutches, finals, transmission, diesel, & pup etc. I was lucky to have part machines . The Rd 7 is my favourite, sold our collection a long time ago.

Thanks Ken. The diesel was my main concern more for toque specs than any thing. I run my own shop so I'm sure we can figure out the rest. any idea on a engine manual and how was parts availability and where did you find them. I'm almost done with my 17A and could get a lot though my cat dealer or jobber. Is it the same with the RD7. I called my cat dealer a couple of times and they always say they are going to call back but never do. Thanks again Jason

I have a copy of the early Diesel engines book I would part with.
