Good afternoon,
I am wondering how high to fill the final drives on 36 RD6? I have filled them to the bottom of the fill neck in the past.
I am also wondering if the transmission and bevel gear set share oil compartment or if they are separate? I only see one hex plug on top of the transmission and two level check plugs on the side (same location one above the other). I had the top of that off years ago, but do not recall.
Please let me know.
Thank you,
Scooter

You should have a drain plug for the transmission and a second on for the bevelgear housing and 1 each side for final drive

Fill the final drives till the oil level is in the threads. Transmission/ bevel gear housing same oil, final drives are separate.

Thank you for the replies. Sounds like I need to add a little more oil.
Thank you,

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
