hello again, Just drug in another treasure.

Rd4 4g6583w It has set in a shed for many years but is in remarkable shape the part that really drew my attention was the power take off on the rear

got it home pulled it around the shop a few times got it to run on ether fuel pressured up and still no fuel to the injectors. broke the injector lines loose at both the pump and the injectors nothing. took it in the shop and got the pony running good, took the fuel filters out the looked rather clean better that alot that i have seen. re install fillter housing.

took the inspection plate off the side so i could make sure no plungers were tuck

seems to be a blockage between the filter housing and the pump

any help would be appreciated

loosen the little screws that are on the injection pump behind the injector tubing nuts. they are hard to see and require a small special wrench. on my rd4g7963w I always loosen all of them up and then let the pony crank for two or three minutes you should see fuel sputtering out the back towards the block. then you can tighten those little screws and the injector tubing as each injector plunger gets primed. mine will take off and run on three injectors and even when the tubing is still leaking . I will let it run like that till I am sure I have got all the air out.

Had this problem and found the injector rack to be stuck. Oiled the rack, tapped it with a small hammer, worked the throttle back and forth until everything was free moving, screwed the plate back on, cranked it over and the engine took off without hesitation.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
