Can anyone verify the updated or previous numbers for a tractor with number 1H11xx? My book shows 7B9578 but would like to know if a crank with number of 3H2249 would work.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Thank you Josh. I checked with 2 different dealers today and neither could seem to get past the "discontinued" word. Thanks a bunch.

I have a crank in block yet from a 1H1111 tractor that i parted out. Not sure what the part # is. is yours one piece forged or does it have the bolt on balancer weights?

Looks like 3H2249 has it's own bearing requirements.
6-3H6669 Bearings
1-3H3441 Bearing
1-7F6395 Thrust washer
1-4F7815 Special woodruff key

Rome/KG- If I remember correctly I think mine is a one piece crank. I do not recall seeing bolt on counter weights.

Old Magnet- Thank you for the part numbers. I figured I would have to machine my own. I changed one in this tractor already, and finding that one was almost impossible. With the part numbers I will keep my eyes peeled for them.

If you're rd8 serial number is below about 2000 it should have a gear driven fan.
After about 1h 2000 they went to belt driven fan. Don't hold me to those numbers as they are approximat from memory.
The cranks changed with the engine design change .
Attached is photos of the two cranks.
I see no reason why the later crank can't be machined to fit the earlier engine block?
If you can't find the correct one. .

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
