What rain, yes we did get some but as soon as it stopped you can't even find a puddle.

Up here on the North Coast near Mendocino, we had 4" of rain Wednesday night with a little wind. Some roads closed due to flooding, a few trees down and some power outages for a day or two, but really not a bad storm at all, 22" of rain so far this season, we will need a lot more to get back to normal.

I hope you CA guys get that rain nicely spread out, lighter but steady so you can start to replenish. We're spoilt over here in N.Y. - no shortage of precipitation - just cleared 12" of snow off the driveway. Wife had a crack with the lawnmower plow and didn't do a bad job but the width of 8'6" matches the pickup so my office spats kept getting damp - had to widen it up a bit with the blower : )

If rain only came as easy as "experts" telling us how bad things are going to be,be it drought or flooding.

Hey Pete,
The ground is plenty wet up here in San Mateo County with standing water along the roadways and around interchange areas. Yeaterday morning, water was still flowing down hillsides along Chrystal Springa Reservoir. The weather people say the "Storm Door" is open. I would say it's a good start in putting a big dent in the Drought here in California. Let it rain.

Neil,

I remember as a kid down in Olean getting 12-inches over night. It always made for a great Christmas with all the snow everywhere. I do miss that out here in CA but not interested in moving back just for that. I can't believe you don't have a Cat product to plow with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIxKhlT522g
If I was back in the snow I'd have to rig something like this on my FIFTEEN.

The rain was a very welcome event with more to come again next week. I was in Chico for the rain and they had a few local roads flooded, downed power lines and tree.

Hello dpendzic,
Come on man, have a little pity on your Cat equipment. It should be under cover!!! A happy Cat is a warm Cat. LOL

You got that right. Let it rain and let it snow. Hope you have a great Holiday season.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
