Hello all, trying to locate sleeves/liners for an R4 6G caterpillar are they the same as the D4 2T or D4400 engine? what is the bore and stroke for the R4?

Thanks,

They use the same liner as the D4 2T, part number is 7B4348 and they are still available through your Cat Dealer, I'm buying another 4 here in Australia right now, cost is about $US120 each, you will need a new copper gasket 2A3520 and 2 lower rubber seals 7B2124 per liner, the bore is 4-1/4", stroke is 5-1/2"

Thanks Mike!
My dad purchased a RD4 engine at the same sale I got my D4 2t. he was planning to use it in his R4. but now has said I could have the RD4 engine if I could help him find new sleeves for his R4. since the fuel tank set up is different he is going to stick with the gas engine now which would be model correct and I think the R4s are a bit more rare than a D4. correct me if I'm wrong.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
