Hello, My dad was looking on craglist I can’t spell very good but he found a R4 I believe it has a gas engine so I was wondering if anyone could look at the pictures and see if it is a good machine. I don’t know how to link websites so,

With all due respect, that machine IS an R4. No D4 that I ever saw had the fuel tank on top like that one and, in the 2 middle photos, which I think are the same photo, you can even see the front end of the gas starting fuel tank. There is also a carburetor at the bottom of the angled down pipe from the air cleaner.

Good find, Sir. It looks to be pretty much all there. As the ad says, it would make a good project for someone. Like the Cat 22s, I think they were designed to start on gas and switch over to power kerosene when warm.

Just my 0.02.

Looks good enough, buy it! Has ice cleats, early manifold looks intact.

Yes definitely a R 4 nice cable setup with blade looks like street pads with bolt on ice grousers also in pic 4 in the background looks like a pull grader this needs a closer look could be a good deal for the right person

Good eye Chuck picking out the tongue on the grader! I think you are right and that is what it is. I missed it completely!

I don't know if I could buy it I am running out of room the next thing I get I have to rent my own land to put it and I would also have to take a loan for my dad
