can anyone tell me where i can get a kit to rebuild the ac delco fuel pump i know it is about seventy years old but it dont hert to ask it has a brass casting the seria# is 4j 658 thanks guys .

It seems quite awhile ago someone on here said that I believe it was a Ford fuel pump kit had the parts in it to repair a Cat fuel pump, the diaphragm etc.so maybe that person will chime in and let you know what kit to get.

Hi from Australia , I just recently purchased diaphrams from Auto Supplies, Melbourne , Vic. #03-98733566 they are 4" and 10 holes and exactly same as my R2's and 22's They are AC units can't remember model of pump , and they still had some left . Good luck .. LJ

The Ford and Carter Dia. will work for the pot metal pumps but the brass pumps have diff mech. inside and all you need is a piece of dia. material and make one with a just a screw and nut to attach to rod,or get the later type and grind the crimp off the rod and just use the rubber part. I didnt think the R2 had the early style brass pump but all gas cat pumps 50,40,35,22,Ect are same pump just the arm to the cam are diff.
