Ok i'm new to Cat ownership so I am a little worried about whats happening. Is it normal to spend most of your spare time fixing a mainly rusty but with a tint of yellow old dozer? You find yourself speaking softly to it so as not to offend her becouse you know she is a cranky old girl and might not start if you approach her wrong.
You can't but help smile when that main engine starts and sits there purring at low revs and though every time you run it you find 3 more things that need repair you still can't help but like the old girl.
And finally is it normal to give it a pet name like Gerdie

Please help is this yellow fever

Betch,

A old BB member "Yellow Iron" coined the phrase "it's a fine line between a hobby and mental illness".

i've spent over 1000 hours restoring a 1948 9U with an out door workshop with only a tarpaulin cover for protection. On a cold winters morning in February when it's cold and snowing, i did wonder as to whether there wasn't a easier hobby i could take up like stamp collecting?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
