Joe, Would it be possible to have a whiners forum seperate from the discussion forum? I'm sure the vast majority would appreciate it so we could focus on Cat related discussions and not the evil emperor of the BB.😄

One feature of the forum software is an "Ignore List" which you can add someone to by clicking on their username and choosing to view their profile. Along the menu bar you'll see an option to add that particular individual to an ignore list.

Hope that helps! 😉

The small committee of ACMOC that is responsible for insuring the development and improvement of the ACMOC web site, including the bulletin board, will gladly be reviewing all comments about the bb, with a view to accommodating all reasonable suggestions for its improvement. The bb development is not finished, and we hope to improve upon it. Please be patient, and it would be most helpful if suggestions could be offered in a positive way. GWH

My Thanks again to all the people who have done what they have for all of us who collect and restore "Holt", "Best”, Russell" and "Caterpillar" equipment, as I understand this is a place to share that information and current projects.
As GWH mentioned to give “suggestions” that will actually help this board and not peeve everyone off to the point that we do not have a board at all or to a point that people do not want to post their projects only to be under the constant scrutinizing from the consistent whiners, witch is slowly where this is headed again! I would not blame ACMOC for pulling the plug if too many people who are more interested in complaining about the way a board is being run than the rebuilding or working of their tractors.

I like Joe's suggestion of the "ignore list". However I'm torn because the ones causing all the turmoil also have a great deal of knowledge that they share when pride is not in the way. Do I ignore the rants and appreciate the excellant technical commentary or ignore them altogether?😕 😕 😕 😕
I would love this BB to be a positive experience for everyone that cares for old iron.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
