I have 3 d2 pony motor tank that i have to get painted and i read that there are to paint codes for them. the first one is 421A and the second one is 421U both by dupont. which is closer to the right yellow for a 1953 model d2? and i also want to ask which is look beter?

I just ordered DuPont 421A
And it came as new Cat yellow
Was supposed to be Hi Way yellow

When I used to do painting the A stood for Centari a brand of DuPont paint as is Nasson and Imron.

I use Valspar Transport yellow--just about an exact match to old highway yellow

Hello There, bit late with this post but if it helps I painted mine "MID CHROME YELLOW" and it turned out
rather well as you can see. I live in the uk and just went to a local paint supplier told them the colour
and they mixed it for me.
