Today, Kent Bates helped install Jim Kidwell's 1952 D6 9U at Dozer Park in Peoria, Ill. We will have a story in an upcoming issue of the magazine, but in the meantime you can read about it in a local magazine we publish called, The Peorian:

G'day. Great article. Fantastic restoration, I can only dream at this point that one day mine could look half as good as that.

Kent has also posted a note about this with more photos and a article from the local newspaper so there was a lot of press on this one.

Thanks for the kind words! It's always great when I get to cover something ACMOC-related right in our own backyard. Also, here is a short clip of Kent unloading the tractor:

I might add that Jim also has a D6 9U, hyd. equipped tractor that looks as good as the cable dozer. And that's not all!!! He also has a D7 3T cable equipped tractor and a "Like New" LaPlant Ch 108 scraper with all new tires. He has had that machine at several of our Chapter One shows, moving dirt. It will be at the McLouth Kansas show over the Sept 20-22 show. We will also have a DW 21 at the show also.
Jim's show tractors gives you an idea as to how he keeps his equipment. His trucks always look like his show tractors.
We're proud th have Jim as a member of Chapter One. Bill Walter
