There is donut shaped cork "packing" at top and bottom of each push rod end on my old D8-2U engine. I believe the part# is 2B7111. Does anybody out there know where I might find a dozen or so of these items. Also, if I were to look on e-bay, is "PACKING" the right word for my search?

I’d refer to them as plugs I think your search would yield more results. Car dealers may have them or looks like any parts house would have those simple things. But no they are not packing for sure

They are not plugs and shape and size, would not be found in an auto parts store. Cat calls them packing and were made from cork. Current Cat price is almost $27 ea, and apparently none available. Search on eBay by part number resulted in nothing. Machinery trader does show a few sources. The only California source is F P Smith in Fairfield.

I am shure that Olson’s Gaskets can make them.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
