The grader is listed as a #44 grader & production started in 1937 according to the Cat SNID book but the engine year is blank & not listed as to what year it was first produced.That,s all I have on it.

Kelly when I get back home I'll lok for pics of mine and send yo many have had engine replaced with briggs or wis.
SJ ; what they did was put same setup as on No.10 or11 on a No.44 frame and power the controlbox with a little engine hanging down below it

Kinda like this one. We pulled this one out of the brush a few weeks ago. The engine was replaced with a Wisc years ago. Owner still has orginial engine. Note the optional siting pin above the front pedistal, a farmer add on. I have to try and help him get this going I will post some other pictures from the farm later. The number on this grader is 8H761.

Thanks for the info and the pics. on the Cat 44. I never knew they made a #44 with a power ubit on it. I learned something new.
