A question if I may. (You're too far away to stop me anyway so here goes.)

When is the unbreakable, bulletproof, scratch-resistant glass display case arriving for that little jigger?

You've got it looking like that and now you want to get it dirty by hanging a scraper behind it? Or is the glass case big enough for the scraper too?

Seriously - at least for a little while - that is one very neat D2.

There are the tumblebugs but I get the impression that you are looking for something a little more serious. Murray made quite a good little 2 cu. yd hydraulic scraper that was not a bad match for a D2. Murray apparently made scrapers up to about 6 cu. yd heaped.

There were also a couple of LeTourneau models small enough for a D2 but they were pretty much cable only, unless you are lucky enough to find one that some inventive soul has 'hydraulicked'.

Happy hunting.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Deas Plant......that made me laugh a bit.......I enjoyed the rebuilding, resto part of my D2 but at the same time I have a plan and it does involve getting it scratched up. I have always try to taken care of my equipment (use but not abuse) and the wife sometimes tells me I am a PIA about it......then again she says I am a PIA sometimes too ! 😊
I am looking for the wheeled scrapers. Thanks for the info as I sure don't want to get one to big or get a pile of scrap and you can bet I'll take it apart and repair/paint it as well....😊
Have a good day.....Bill

Yup like Deas said 2-11/2 yard scraper is what you want. Bee Gee made one laPlant chalate made one and previously stated murry and letourneau but letourneau were cable and I think you would have a harder time finding a double drum ccu for a d2 rather than finding the scraper. And if you do find a bigger one like 21/2 yards make sure it has a "stinger" on the back or push block.

Funny story I was running Glen Ghilotti's D4 7U and 40 sraper well I was loading with it here comes my dad on the 46A D8 behind me and was pushing me!:fear: A little over kill but I got a full load! Hahaha:whoo:

Maybe Chuck C will post a picture of his scraper that he pulls behind his D2. It looks nice and he moves dirt with it also.

64farmboy...that is a good looking D2 for sure....I had a bunch of bad rollers and it snowballed from there so remember once you get started.......😊

rd6 plower....that sounds like a good size for what I want to do....

tw........I would like to see that. I hope he does post it.

Erik...........I will keep that in mind if I find a cable one. If I find a hydraulic one I am assuming I will have to change my hydraulic set-up a bit.

CYSCO: don't ever believe the term "but all you gotta do" what started out as a cleaning and reconditioning of the pony fuel tank turned into new valves and rings, right steering clutch is next.
A complete teardown next winter so I can paint

Here is another LaPlant Choate similar to Chuck's. It will still be a while though before my D2 is running and able to pull the scraper.
