Just thought I would give you an update on my stuck track problem.
I managed to get the RD out of the shed this arvo'. Just. 😞
It took some real tension from the winch, and the RFBH to get it to start moving. once it was moving, it was a bit hit and miss on the smooth progress. But once I got past a certain point it was much easier going. Until now. Now they just don't want to go around again. Fortunately it's far enough out that I have hit the chains with the high pressure cleaner to force the water in a bit. I have a almost not working soaker hose on the tracks to keep the chains damp/wet. I will give it another go early in the morning.
Oh.... Chatting to my chemical engineer subordinates, they tell me that the water weakens the oxide structure and assists in it's break down. Until it dries again......
I think you will have better success if you can work it back and forth. Maybe one tractor on the front and one on the back or tractor on one end and winch on the other. Pull it one way till it binds and then pull it the other way. A back hoe with a bucket tooth in the drawbar would be ideal.
