I rebuilt the carb on a D7-3T but can't get gas to the plugs. Does anyone know the preferred settings. I left the idle but replaced the guts for the intake. The old 7M carb was 3.5 turns. The non-working carb was 10.5 turns. Suggestions?

Most carbs are 1 turn open as a starting point. If you cannot choke it and get gas into the cylinders, you have a fuel supply problem, not a carb adjustment problem.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

I'll second what ccjersey says.

I would first be certain you are getting fuel to the carby bowl. This would eliminate a plugged sediment bowl or fuel line.

If that checks out and you still can't get fuel to the plugs, you have one or more plugged circuts. A simple carb cleaner soak will not always open up the passages, some times you have to root 'em out.

I had a post on this topic in the thread "7m 298 comes home" perhaps that would be of interest.

Good luck
