Another nice picture of a good looking tractor and plow!! Tractor must be in good condition to pull 4-12's in fourth gear. Don't think mine would do that.

Might be sandy loam in that area. It looks like the Christchurch area which is alpine runoff high in sand. Is that where you're plowing D2Mova? Nice picture either way. We have the same soil in this area so I'm keen to get a 4 bottom for my 5U

Nice! Nothing better than shiny pads and moldboards. Very nifty setup. I might have to bring my D2 4U out of hiding and give 'er a workout. Thanks for sharing. JM

Hi Neil
Her it is right beside the airport had freezer beans in it Also the plough is a Reid&Gray model HHB (heavy high beam) Made in Dunedin probably in the 30s a lot of then around still weigh s in at just under 2ton also made liter model called asilver plough a lot under in the vintage ploughing comps today I have a 3 furrow silver as well long mould boards of course made in England and double skinned twice as thick on the bottom
