The original pinion sleeve latches were 3B5441(1 tooth) and 3B5440(2tooth) are there any advantage to using the updated pinoin latches verses the 1 tooth and 2 tooth pinoin sleeve latches?
CAT still have the 3B35440&3B5441 available at $250 each. Thank you

What are you referring to as updated latches????
Far as I know they are all the same except some are one piece and some are laminated. Still takes a 1 tooth and 2 tooth to make a set. Try Florin Tractor for a source.

Thank you. I have a used set but they are both 2 tooth latches. I will contact Florin Monday. You have definitely saved me from a screw up.

I took the pinion sleeve latches apart and put in the new spring that I received from Florin. And my replacement latches are both 2 tooth except one is a female and the other a male. So unless someone advises me otherwise, I am going with what I have.

Should look like this.....
Are you ordering the right item? 3B5441 is 2 tooth, 3B5440 is one tooth. Opposite of what you stated.
I'm not aware of double two tooth versions but I suppose anythings possible.
