I guess that big brown one is headed to a gas compressor station as it looks like it has spark plugs.
3516 Diesel with SR5 Alternator - Used to Package/Start Up lots of those.
3612 Diesel Engine - I see Exhaust Thermocouples and steel lines but can't make out Spark Plug wires? I'm going with Diesel, not Natural Gas!
3516 Natural Gas Engine - I see Fuel Mixers mounted in the Compressor Intake tubes.
Unless my eyes are deceiving me......
Lafayette, I was there a couple of years ago (probably 10 years or more?)
I dunno...

Looks like a spark plug wire right above Mike's left ear. That's what I was guessing at.![]()
Second engine is a C280-12. That last engine is a 20 cylinder G3520.
Yes, the C280 series and the 3600's are a similar base block with different configurations if I remember the Series designations correctly dependent upon application?
Definitely right on the 20 cylinders I missed 2 in there when I counted the first time!
Thanks for the pictures Mike, it looks like you had a good time. Is your next step to set one up in your barn next to the Navy D13000? Thanks.
Bryan
We put 3 of them 3516 generator packages in Mayo hospital in Eau Claire, WI a few years ago. As I remember they were 1.5 Megawatt at 21,000 volt. They were set at 2060 horsepower each and used 106 gallons of fuel an hour under full load. They were kept at 180 degree temperature for full load starts using one starter on each side of the engine. The three terminated into a 60 ft high stack on top of the Central Energy Plant. They were allowed a few seconds of emission relief when they started as they would never know what the load would be. I loved to watch the black cloud blow out and drift away from 6,000 HP firing off under full fuel for 15 or so seconds. It looked like a mini mushroom cloud when there was no wind. When we loaded tested them at full load for 4 hours to certify them for hospital use, the exhaust manifolds were white hot. We could shut the lights off in the generator room and see the exhaust gases swirling in the manifolds.
I would love to have this sitting in my driveway in town for when the neighbors with there puny little hot rods fire up, lol.
