Well it’s almost that time again! Some folks asked if Chapter 15 will be at the “Pear Fair” in Courtland, CA.
Absolutely! Always the last Sunday in July, which would be 7-30-23.
It is one of the oldest small town events in California, nestled along the banks of the Sacramento River, south of Sacramento, California approximately 20 miles, west of Interstate 5.
Some of us from near (and far) bring tractors for everyone’s viewing pleasure, and it’s always fun when we get an assortment of iron for folks to admire.
Grab a chair, find a spot under our tent or the oak tree, and enjoy a frosty cold beverage and maybe a piece of pear pie or one of those famous Lockeford sausage sammiches that many enjoy.
Hip waders and rubber boots not required. I don’t think it gets too “deep” at the Pear Fair.
Hope to see many of you then! JM

Hi, juiceman.
I'd love to join you there as it is one show that I have not yet made it to but the commute from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where I am currently hunkered down awaiting my visa renewal would be a bit much. Try to have enough fun me as well.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I tend to think Brooks has its show the same weekend for old iron as well. No worries, I know you globe trotting blade men cannot be everywhere. No special dunking booth, so it is safe for you, if you snuck over. I might even try to relax this one time, but doubtful. I have to hand it to the organizers, like any show, it is a LOT of work. They pull it off each time flawlessly. Anyone wishing to bring something out for display is welcome to by the way. Thx. JM

Pear Fair is this Sunday!
Weather is supposed to be nice, and Chapter 15 and friends will be there having fun. Come on out!
I even got a reminder from the infamous Mr. D2Don today, always great to have him join in and swap tales.
For those that don’t know him, he recently retired as the local bridge tender. Although a sleepy little town, he got to see a lot while waiting for tall ships to pass under his bridge.
Looks like we expect a variety of tractors, everyone is welcome! JM

Please accept apology, I can't make it this time.
Have an extra slice of Pear Pie and demonstrate that "Magic Rope" for those admiring the machines.
