Obituary

James Raynor Powell, Jr., 76, of Franklinville, NJ, formerly of Williamstown, passed away on January 20, 2016. Jim was a 1957 graduate of Glassboro High School. After graduation, he worked in road construction for 17 years before owning & operating JRP Waste Oil Service, Inc. He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Williamstown, where he served on many committees. Jim enjoyed travelling, especially to Alaska. Together with his wife, they enjoyed round dancing and square dancing with several clubs for 30 years. He was a member of the Antique Construction Equipment Assn. of Brownsville, PA, the antique Caterpillar Owners Club of NJ, and a life member of Rough & Tumble Engineers Assn. in Lancaster Co., PA. Beloved husband of 54 years to Edith E. Powell (nee Stratton). Loving father of Charles Raynor Powell (Donna). Devoted grandfather of Joshua, Benjamin, and Daniel Powell. Dear brother of Donna Rae Hunter, Joanne Jones and brother in law of Charles Stratton (Joanne). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown. Burial will follow in the Williamstown Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 159 S.
