Does anyone have a parts diagram they could post for the early style D4 6u/7u hydraulic track adjusters?

My parts manual only covers the later styles.

thanks

What are you calling early. The Cat hydraulic adjusters didn't come out until 7U 42915. Could be you have an aftermarket version??.

I have a 6u3022 (maybe an extra digit at the end) parts tractor with hydraulic adjusters. They look like they match up with pictures of the "earlier hydraulic track adjusters" in the D4 Operations and Maintenance Instructions booklet. These have a grease fitting plus a relief valve. It does not look like it has the the ball check valve.

Aftermarket? Maybe, I don't have the experience to tell. It has the two springs in the recoil spring assembly.

I could get a picture in a few days.

There were two types of 4-roller hydraulic track adjusters. Both started at 7U42915 in 1959. Your 6U3022 is a 1949 model and probably has been fitted with the late Cat adjusters.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
